Guide to reducing the period of your disqualification
If you have been disqualified from driving for more than 2 years the law permits you to apply for a reduction in the period of your disqualification under certain conditions.
Grounds need to be given to justify any reduction and you cannot apply unless one of the following criteria are met:
- you have served 2 years of the disqualification period if you were disqualified for more than 2 but less than 4 years
- you have served half the period of disqualification if you were disqualified for less than 10 years but not less than 4 years
- you have served years of the disqualification period if you were disqualified for 10 years or more
