Auto braking systems reduce insurance premiums

It has been revealed that buying a vehicle fitted with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems will reduce insurance premiums

Motorists who buy an AEB enabled car will see a 1 to 5 drop in their group insurance rating and therefore a lower insurance premium. Five years of research has shown that AEB cars have claims made 25% less than normal braking systems and if there was a collision, the third party loss per claim was also around 27%.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems use lasers, cameras and radar to scan the road ahead for potential hazards and apply the brakes automatically if required independently of the driver.
