Air powered motorbike

Last week we talked about making petrol from air but how about skipping the chemical process altogether and just uses air to power a motorbike?

That’s just what one Australian engineering graduate has done. Dean Benstead added a scuba-diving tank and a 25-pound engine to a Yamaha WR250R frame to produce a machine that has a top speed of 87mph and 62 mile range. Air power has its obvious advantages over other low-carbon fuels like electricity. There are no batteries that take hours to recharge. You probably wouldn’t be able to power a car with air but the low weight of a motorcycle makes it perfect for air power.
