Fixed penalty fine increases
The Government is proposing to increase the fines from £60 to £90
The proposals will be designed to increase the amount of money which will be made available to support the victims of road traffic offences.
IAM research showed that 51% disagreed with the proposals and 80% thought that the money should be made available for improving road safety rather than reducing drivers’ trust in enforcement measures.
