Speeding point’s threshold could change
Proposals by Mike Penning, Transport Minister, could see the threshold for driver awareness courses increased
The Times reported that the new plans for the threshold are 3mph higher. So if for example a driver was caught speeding in a 30mph, up to 42mph there could be an option to take a driver awareness course. 37 out of 43 forces have agreed the new guidelines and with an increase in the driver awareness course fee to £100 this would fund switching speed cameras back on.
