Ideas put forward by the EU to reduce carbon emissions by 2050

In order to reduce carbon emissions and improve the health and lifestyles of citizens, the EU is calling for a ban on petrol and diesel vehicles by 2050, and have an increased focus on a single European Transport Area, designed to encourage the EU’s 500 million population to use sea, rail and air transport for longer journeys.
