A Mercedes SLS AMG driver has been caught by Swiss Police doing 105mph over the speed limit
The driver now faces a fine of nearly £600,000 from the Swiss Police after he was caught speeding on the A12 near Bern and Lausanne. His car has already been impounded by the Police as his case goes to court. Switzerland has a fine system that relates directly to a drivers income, with a ceiling fine of 1 million Swiss Francs. Meanwhile F1 driver, David Coulthard, has taken the same Mercedes model out to the Isle of Man to reach speeds of 160mph on a closed road and filmed in 3D, all part of Mercedes press campaign for the car.
