Pigs in traffic
Pigs escaped from a lorry on the M11 near Stanstead Airport after it crashed
The lorry contained 82 pigs, about 12 of them escaped from the truck after it crashed; some were grazing on the hard shoulder whilst others were running on the carriageway. Both the South and Northbound carriageways were closed as repairs to the central reservation were made and to prevent the pigs from straying into traffic.
