Rising Fines

The Home Office has increased fines for seatbelt and number plate offences

The fines for passengers not wearing a seatbelt and motorists altering the lettering on their number plates has risen from £30 to £60. The rise has come about from Police anxiety that occupants in a vehicle aren’t wearing a seatbelt and that some car owners are using black tape to change their number plates.
