London congestion charge changes
New congestion charge rules have come into force to try and curb the increase in diesel cars
The existing rules allow cars emitting under 100g/km of CO2 to enter the city centre free which meant that a significant proportion of those vehicles allowed were diesel which still emit harmful gases.
This limit has now been lowered to 75g/km which effectively rules out any traditional internal combustion powered cars leaving the roads clear for hybrid and electric cars only.
