Biker definition changed

The Oxford English Dictionary has been forced to change their definition of ‘biker’

After several complaints from motorcyclists, the dictionary definition of a ‘biker’ has been updated. It used to read:

‘A motorcyclist, especially one who is a member of a gang: a long-haired biker in dirty denims.’

Unsurprisingly this sounds very outdated and the modern biker would more likely have a short hair cut and ride around in waterproof Gore-tex. The entry has been amended to read:

‘A motorcyclist, esp. a member of a motorcycle club or gang’

We still think the definition of the term is slightly misleading as the majority of ‘bikers’ probably don’t ride in a ‘gang’.
