Lawsuit against the sender of the texts – distracted driving

US lawyers are to see if they can sue the sender of text messages to a driver involved in a head-on collision

The incident, which occurred in New Jersey, involved a Chevy pickup and a motorcycle. The Pickup truck driver was clearly seen texting at the wheel moments before he hit the motorcycle head-on.

The motorcyclists and pillion are now trying to sue the sender of the text messages, believing they should both be held accountable. The driver received around 62 texts that day and the sender knew that around the time of the incident the driver was at the wheel.
