Roads privatisation

To improve the road network, the Government calls for motorways to be toll based or privatised

The comments, made by David Cameron in a speech on infrastructure, highlighted the UK’s degrading road network and the blight of gridlock and traffic jams. Along with measures such as road widening, hard shoulder running and dual overcrowded A-roads, Mr Cameron called for new, not existing, roads to be funded by private companies, in much the same way that utilities such as water are funded.

So in the same way the water board forces hose pipe bans but at the same time lose 300million gallons per day through leaky pipes, are we to be forced to cut down our motoring due to potholes and failed road surfaces?
