Motorcyclists allowed to use bus lanes

Transport for London has granted permanent access to London’s Red Route bus lanes for motorcyclists

After two extensive trials, motorcyclists will be allowed to use bus lanes from the 23rd January 2012. An estimated 50,000 journeys are made every day by motorcyclists in the London road network’s bus lanes. During the two trials, accident rates dropped significantly for motorcyclists and cyclists.
