Speed camera collision, casualty and speed data
The Department for Transport have released links to external local authority websites of collisions, casualtities and speeds at fixed speed camera sites
Below are links to websites which will give you information on fixed speed cameras impact on collisions, casualties and speed, as at 13:00 22/08/2011. Where data does not appear, please contact the local authority direct. Some of the links point toward Excel spreadsheets.
Avon & Somerset Local Authority (Bath & NE Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire) – No data as yet on this site.
Avon & Somerset Police. Map, photo, date site established and collision history 1999 to 2009.
Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton No data published at present – estimated date to publish is end August.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Site by site historical casualty, collision and speed data published
Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington – Mapped locations only at present.
Cleveland (Hartlepool, Middlebrough, Redcar & Cleveland & Stockton-on-Tees). Site by site historical casualty, collision and speed data published.
Cumbria. County level casualties only.
Derby and Derbyshire. Date site established, photograph and map.
Devon & Cornwall (Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Plymouth and Torbay). Mapped locations – data to be supplied on a site by site basis.
Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole. Site by site date site established, speed and collision data back to 1998 supplied.
Durham and Darlington. No fixed cameras.
Essex, Southend and Thurrock. Camera locations listed. Also casualty statistics containing date site established, baseline and historical collisions.
Gloucestershire. Date site established and collision data back to 1998 published – estimated date to publish further data
is end October.
Greater Manchester (City of Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton, Wigan, City of Salford and Trafford) – Date site established, photographs and map available – estimated date to publish further data is end August.
Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton & the Isle of Wight. Site by site annual collision data compared to annualised baseline data.
Hertfordshire. Date established, map and baseline collision data available.
Humberside (East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North Lincolnshire & North East Lincolnshire). Location, casualty and collision data available site by site in downloadable spreadsheet format.
Kent & Medway Towns. Date site established and numbers killed or seriously injured in baseline 3 years and most recent 3 years.
Lancashire, Blackpool & Blackburn with Darwen. Full location, speed, collision and casualty data available via map.
Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. Full location, speed, collision and casualty data available.
Lincolnshire. Site by site historical casualty, collision and speed data published.
London – 2 police force areas (Metropolitan & City) & 33 Boroughs. The numbers of speed camera sites are listed by type, but no location, casualty or speed data – estimated date to publish is end September.
Merseyside (Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens & Wirral). Site by site historical casualty, collision and speed data published.
Norfolk. Date site established, baseline KSI and most recent 3 years plus speed data.
North Yorkshire and York. No fixed cameras.
Northamptonshire. No data published at present – estimated date to publish is end August.
Northumbria (Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside & Sunderland). Mapped locations only at present.
Nottingham & Nottinghamshire. Date site established, percentage reduction casualties and collisions.
