In a bid to reduce the number of motorcyclists killed on Britain’s roads each year a new campaign has been launched
The campaign will aim to raise awareness to drivers of motorcyclists on the road. Fellow biker and road transport minister, Mike Penning, says that motorcyclists account for 1% of road traffic but make up 20% of deaths on the roads. The campaign will put motorcyclists centre stage and encourage drivers to be more aware of bikers. Often the driver of the car fails to see the motorcyclist, usually at junctions.
