Safety campaign targets motorcyclists

THINK! The Government run road safety department, is to launch a TV safety campaign that targets the safety of motorcyclists

The adverts show a series of bikers with flashing neon signs attached to them which describe the personality of the person behind the helmet, for example ’new dad’ or ‘shy retiring type’. The theory is that car drivers notice motorcyclists more if they personally know them. Motorcyclists make up 1% of traffic but account for 19% of deaths on the roads. The adverts will also run on the radio and cinema.
