Mobile traffic warden
Redbridge council in London now have an extra set of eyes for the regular traffic warden
The Council run Smart car is loaded with CCTV cameras to catch unsuspecting drivers. It costs the Council £15k a year to run and is in operation Monday – Saturday 8am to 6.30pm. It can detect up to 20 different road traffic offences. It has been regularly seen parked on yellow lines whilst in operation, much to the dismay of other road users.
