Kidults on parents car insurance longer
Research has suggested that the average age of children being named on their parent’s car insurance is now 31
In a year the age has increased from 25 to 31, showing that in the down economy younger drivers are saving money by relying on their parents more. The research indicates 2.5 million drivers have added their children to their car insurance policies. It is not an illegal practice so long as the child isn’t the main driver of the vehicle, if it is found that child is in fact the main driver it could invalidate the insurance policy and can be considered fraud.
