German boffins have come up with an iPhone app that can literally drive a car
The App, called iDriver, needs a specially modified vehicle to work and the screen on the iPhone has a small steering wheel and buttons for accelerate and brake. A camera mounted on the vehicle feeds back to the iPhone allowing someone to control the vehicle. The app is more a proof of concept rather than a commercial venture.
