Tortoise rescued from M25
The Tortoise, nicknamed freeway, was found near junction 7 of the M25
It seems he was trying to cross the motorway on at the busiest time of day. The driver who rescued him thought that the Tortoise was a bit of debris until he could see its head move. The driver stopped and ran back 400 yards to rescue the Tortoise and take him to the nearest sanctuary, where it was discovered the Tortoise had been micro chipped in America.
