London Police are resorting to extreme measures to teach people not to leave their cars unlocked
The trial of a scheme in Richmond where Police break into a car that has been left unlocked or with a window down, remove any valuables from the car and leave a note with contact details on, has proved so effective at teaching drivers to be more careful when leaving their cars that it may soon be rolled out across the country. Drivers get their possessions back only if they contact the Police with the details left on the note.
