Bus Lane Offences could be refunded

A driver who strayed into a bus lane in Oxford and was fined £60 for the offence has had his appeal upheld

More than 10,000 motorists were caught straying into the Oxford City Centre bus lane. Mr Duffy complained that the lane was not clearly marked to show that only buses were permitted into the lane and it seems that other councils have problems informing drivers of where they can and can’t drive. The AA have said that this is more a traffic engineering rather than a motorists problem and could be a vital step forward for motorists when local authorities are increasingly enforcing moving traffic offences.
