A survey by a leading car insurer has revealed that 30% of accidents occur a mile from home
The survey of nearly 4,000 drivers found that most accidents occur when people are near their home, probably in their comfort zone of driving and therefore not as alert as they might be if driving on unfamiliar roads. The most common accident was hitting a parked car whilst reversing into other vehicles and hitting walls also featured on the list of accidents.
