A study into road deaths found that over half are on 10% of the road network
The most dangerous stretch of single carriage A road is from Macclesfield to Buxton, the A537. 18 out of the 27 KSI (killed or seriously injured) accidents along the 7.5 mile stretch involved motorcyclists. There are calls to focus safety initiatives along the worst stretches of roads as well as accident black spots.
