ACPO have released a statement on the results of their June 2013 anti-drink drive campaign
The nationwide operation targeted drivers attending day-time barbeques, weekend events and under 25s. Over 100,000 drivers were breathalysed during June compared with 83,224 the same period last year with 5,170 drivers failing the test. In addition the numbers of motorists failing the Field Impairment Test for drugs fell from 63 to 59.
