Greater Manchester stopped a suspected drink driver, whilst waiting for a tow truck, decided to take the car for a spin
The car was a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII. Four wheel drive and capable of 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds with a limited top speed of 156mph. The two officers that were left waiting for the tow truck after the driver was carted to the nearest Police Station, decided to take the car for a quick spin. The car hit a wall, flipped over and left the two officers with bumps and bruises. A full investigation is underway and the two Policemen have been suspended from driving duties.
