HGV driver eats Tachograph discs

A Swiss HGV driver who was stopped by Police for speeding ate his tachograph discs to avoid prosecution

After the man was stopped, Police discovered that he had driven more than 600 miles in 18 hours without a scheduled stop. The driver swallowed the discs, which record the speed and time driven and he was later admitted to hospital complaining of stomach pains. He has since been fined for the offences and hasn’t had any adverse health issues from eating the tachograph discs.
