An elderly German driver decided the best way to defrost his car in the morning was to put a blow heater under the bonnet
The man went back indoors to leave the car defrosting. The heater was placed next to the window washer bottle. He soon heard two blasts from outside only to find his car was on fire. He swiftly called the emergency services who extinguished the blaze so as to prevent his house catching fire as well.
