Mind controlled wheelchair

Spanish scientists have developed a wheelchair that can be controlled by thought aloneThe modified wheelchair has a hat fitted with electrodes that detect signals in the brain. Lasers in the device scan the immediate area to create a 3D map. The user then looks at a screen displaying the image and ‘thinks’ the direction that they want to go in. In tests subjects solved all of the navigation tasks setup and learnt to use the device in only 45 minutes. The machine can only handle two thoughts a minute but faster versions are planned.
