42 points and still driving

A woman from London is still driving with 42 points on her licence

The Isleworth driver amassed the points after not disclosing the driver’s identity. The IAM released the figures from the DVLA. A man from Warrington has 36 points all for driving without insurance.

The courts defended their decisions by saying that “Magistrates can use their discretion to not enforce a driving ban if doing so would cause exceptional hardship, such as losing a job or the ability to care for a dependant. A fine will still be enforced.”
