25% cycling by 2050?
The All-Party Parliamentary Cycling Group wants a quarter of all journeys to be by push bike in 2050
It plans to achieve this by having more segmented cycle routes, lower speed limits on urban and rural routes, prioritising funding and Government leadership and education. The aim will be to have fitter, healthier population whilst saving money and protecting the environment. Question is how will the Government plan to enforce lower speed limits considering some forces around the country have already switched off cameras?
