Wheels to Work network formed

Funding from the DfT has enabled the creation of a national network for Wheels to Work schemes

Wheels to work (W2W) schemes allows access to transport for predominately young people to help them in finding employment in areas where public transport is limited or non-existent.

All current W2W programmes have been invited to join the national network, which now has a national coordinator to help spread ‘best practice’ between groups. The scheme allows young people to use motorcycling as their form of transport in a safe and structured manner which should provide them with the benefits that personal transport brings.
