Professional drivers take more risks

Research has found that motorists who drive for a living take more risks than the general driving population

The research by Brake and Direct Line reveals that out of those that drive for business purposes:

31% text whilst driving
76% speed at more than 35mph in built up areas
17% perform another task at the wheel, such as putting on make-up or shaving

Nearly 30% of traffic comprises of business movements. Brake calls for employers to take action and ensure that professional drivers aren’t putting the public at unnecessary risk.
