Pain over speed bumps

Whether you have a jolt of pain whilst driving over speed bumps could help Doctor’s rule out acute appendicitis

The study by the University of Oxford found that pain when driving over speed bumps compared favourably to other diagnostic methods when trying to diagnose appendicitis, which is tricky to detect accurately. More importantly speed bump pain gives a strong “rule-out value” and makes it a useful tool to use in excluding appendicitis, but not so useful as a “rule-in” test.
