Incident clear-up times reduced by 45 minutes

The DfT run initiative to quickly reopen roads after major incidents is seeing huge financial benefits to the economy

There is an estimated £750 million cost to the economy from incidents on the strategic road network. The ‘CLEAR’ (collision, lead, evaluate, act and reopen) initiative has shown a 44 minute time saving per investigation mainly down to the successful introduction of 3D laser scanners.
