Ever heard of a Goggomobil?
A DVLA press release reveals some of the more unusual vehicles that have been taxed or declared off road
In 2011 over 24 million vehicles were taxed or declared off road either online or by phone with the top five makes as follows:
- Ford – 19.7 million
- Vauxhall – 10 million
- Volvo – 8.3 million
- Renault – 6.5 million
- Peugeot – 6.5 million
Some of the more unusual vehicles that have been put through their online system include a Puddle Duck Valiant, Hupmobile, Goggomobil and a Peel Trident.
Goggomobil was a series of microcars produced in the Bavarian town Dingolfing after World War II by Glas. Nearly 1/4 million cars were built when production ended on 30 June 1969.
