THINK! cyclist campaign

A new awareness campaign by the DfT aims to raise both cyclist and driver awareness of each other

Since the success British cyclists have had over the summer and the “Wiggins Effect”, 25% of adults are noticing more cyclists on the roads, a poll revealed. In addition drivers and cyclists have much in common, with 1 in 5 drivers cycling and 80% of cyclists holding a driving licence. The campaign asks that both road users will look twice at junctions, signal their intentions so the other can react appropriately and motorists will offer more space when passing cyclists to increase their visibility.
