Satnav woes
The Government, satnav manufacturers and local transport planners discuss out-of-date directions
The “Satnav Summit” is designed to look at the problems of out-of-date map information provided to satnav manufacturers to prevent the misery of inappropriate traffic on local roads.
New traffic sign rules will also allow local authorities to implement traffic signs without requiring authorisation from central government. The new policy on road classification can be viewed on the DfT website
