Parking tickets a joke

Motorists on the Isle of Scilly awoke on New Year’s Day to find that their cars had parking tickets applied to them

It transpired that the parking tickets were actually the work of a New Year’s reveller and local resident Chris Purkiss who after dressing up as a traffic warden for New Year’s Eve celebrations thought it would be amusing to give out some fake parking tickets.

The local Police took the prank in good humour and assured residents that it wasn’t them issuing the tickets as they didn’t have an office on duty new years.
