Proposals to cut MoT red tape for classic cars
The Government is proposing to remove the requirement for cars manufactured before 1960 to undergo the MoT test
A consultation is being held on the proposals which will close on the 26 January 2012. The Government wishes to take away the hassle and cost for classic car owners of having a regular MoT – their vehicles are usually cared for far better than modern cars and statistically have a lower MoT failure and accident rate.
