Police tractor raises awareness of rural crime
Dorset Police have unveiled their new weapon in the fight against rural crime, a 3.5 tonne tractor complete with blue lights
As part of Dorset’s new initiative, Operation Countryside, an 85 horsepower, 3.5 tonne tractor has been given to the Police for free to take to shows and events across Britain to raise awareness of rural crime, which has increased by 17% and involves crimes such as diesel and heating oil, scrap metal and tractor thefts.
