Motorcycle type approval changes
A consultation is open to manufacturers and riders of motorcycles, three wheeled vehicles and quad bikes on proposed EU changes to type approval
Type approval is used to certify that a particular vehicle attains the minimum standards for safety and emissions. Once a vehicle has been successfully approved it can be sold throughout the EU without further testing. The consultation is open until the 28th October and will help refine the UK’s position on the proposed regulations.
