New Police non-emergency number – 101

A new number is being rolled out across England and Wales for non-emergency contact with the Police

Currently live in Parts of Wales and the South East, the 101 service which is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week is designed for scenarios such as reporting a stolen car or road accident, damage to your property or to report a crime in your area, or to report drug use in your neighbourhood. It is hoped it will ease the pressure on the existing 999 emergency service and provide greater access to Police. More information and a roll-out plan is available on http://www.police.uk/101
