Councils consider workplace parking charges
Due to the recent Government cuts and economic downturn, councils are considering charging people to park at work
The idea will affect businesses that have 11 or more parking spaces. Nottingham is to introduce the scheme first, with an initial bill of £250 per motorists, per year. It is unsure as to whether companies will pass the tax onto employees or soak up the charge. The revenue generated will be put into improving public transport in the city.
