Council plans £3.2m bus lane that is 100 metres long

Worcester Council are planning to build a bus lane that is 100 metres long at a cost of £32,000 per metre

The plans have been criticised as a waste of taxpayers money. The council believe the lane will have a positive impact on the local area which is a bottleneck. Works include road widening and installing traffic signals. Campaigners are asking that the money be returned to the Government and put to better use.
