Motorcycle testing and training review

Mike Penning, minister for road safety, has called for a review into the new motorcycle testing regime

The new motorcycle test was introduced in 2009 to address the EU directive on driving licences. After listening to concerns from motorcycle groups about the safety of the off-road module and accessibility of test centres around the country Mike Penning stated that there may be some room to make changes to the test whilst still complying with the EU directive. The review asks for motorcycle riders, groups and other interested parties to send their comments. The full story and details of where to send comments are available on the Department for Transport news page.
