Motoring offence excuses
London Borough of Southwark has received plenty of excuses for alleged road traffic offences, ranging from colour blindness to UFO’s
A driver who attempted to get off the offence of driving into a bus lane tried blaming a UFO which distracted him. Another driver cited colour blindness, thinking that the yellow line was in fact green. Other excuses for parking tickets include a driver thinking if it was raining he could park anywhere. It isn’t a one-way road though, parking enforcement officers try their hardest to dish out parking tickets with one incident where a lorry driver got stuck on the road after it collapsed and received a ticket from an officer.
