International disqualification

From February 2010, if you are a UK driver and disqualified in Ireland your ban will still apply if you return back to the UK.

The arrangement came from talks between British, Irish and Northern Ireland ministers to apply disqualifications from driving into other areas as well. This is the first step of its kind in Europe and designed to keep disqualified drivers off the road.
