ACPO Guidelines for riding a bicycle
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) has produced a manual telling officers how to ride a bicycle
The 93 page, two volume guide, details how officers should stop and get off a bike, how to avoid obstacles such as rocks and kerbs and how to turn left and right into corners. Pressure groups have criticised the manual as a waste of tax payer’s money. The guide has not yet been fully approved by ACPO yet.
